The Big Bang theory remains the dominant official hypothesis for the formation of the universe in academic science.
How could such a strictly regular, harmonious structure as the universe have formed as a result of an explosion? An explosion destroys, it doesn't create. It's roughly the same as suggesting that an airplane could form as a result of an explosion at an aircraft factory.
I'm just observing your dialogue, and I get the impression that you haven't even bothered to read a Wikipedia article; it's just some kind of populism. It really is just a theory, but a very well-structured and logical one. And you're talking about factories and airplanes. It's completely irrelevant, seriously. In this case, it might seem that you're the one with a cognitive dissonance, not your opponents.
