The Big Bang theory remains the dominant official hypothesis for the formation of the universe in academic science.

How could such a strictly regular, harmonious structure as the universe have formed as a result of an explosion? An explosion destroys, it doesn't create.
It's roughly the same as suggesting that an airplane could form as a result of an explosion at an aircraft factory.
