So, is the idea of improving the state through artificial selection absurd?

As I understand it, in the context of this discussion about vaccinations, it translates to: "Vaccinations are a means of artificial selection to enhance citizens. Those who survive are noted, and those who don't... well, that's just the way it is." So, people are vaccinated with different vaccines from different manufacturers in different countries – choose whichever you like, it's a kaleidoscope. But against whom are they all being so effectively, uniformly, and persistently strengthened? Against imaginary enemies? Perhaps it's against diseases that are not biased and simply want to attack and finish off the unprepared? You, vaccinated adults, want to roll back the evolution of medicine as a science, based primarily on fears of unclear things and statistics of unfortunate incidents. Let's then re-derive the laws of physics, reinvent the wheel, and play the first Heroes game. Here's a cool and interesting article on the topic. Warning: contains profanity.
