Regarding the Violation System.

A great example is the first, and so far only, appeal that was completed recently. For clarity, among those who voted in it were:
RAPER, last message on the forum: 03/27/2012
Alex Ghost: 12/09/2011
Alex_soldier: 02/26/2008 (five years ago).
Am I the only one who thinks that those who don't show any activity on the forum and are most likely not even aware of what's going on shouldn't be deciding the fate of other users?

First, the essence of what happened was outlined in the initial posts, in accordance with the appeal rules. Moreover, the affected party is given the right to a second statement, which is clearly a bonus – there is an opportunity to counter-argue specific points.

Second, the last message doesn't necessarily mean that they haven't visited the forum for that long. Not writing =/= not reading or not being present.

And third, impartiality only increases objectivity. Judges in court don't live with the defendant's family for six months to better understand what their life is like and how they ended up in this situation, do they? They take the data, consider it, and make a decision. That's it.
