Game crashes: questions and answers.

Let me clarify: the described behavior doesn't seem to have a specific cause, as the game crashes randomly, both in single-player and multiplayer modes. The last time it crashed was when I tried to build a town hall in an Inferno city. Does this tell anyone anything? :o

There could be many reasons, ranging from hardware issues and driver problems to installation errors, resulting in missing important files. For example, the game might be trying to access these files, but it can't find them, causing it to crash. What kind of HDD damage are we talking about?
