It's very strange that someone is criticized for withdrawing due to a lack of time for games, but not for withdrawing because they don't aim for qualification and are too lazy to finish playing. In my opinion, the reason in the first case is much more respectable. IMHO.
I can provide a comparison of this situation within the group. Let's say people are playing a best-of-three (bo3) match, and after two wins by one of the contenders, the third game doesn't happen because there's no point, as the winner is already determined, and the game absolutely doesn't change anything. It's a similar situation here; at the time of Dubrovin's withdrawal, Cobra and Amilu had already qualified for the playoffs... but withdrawing like Stinger (you can always come up with a reason) could be a disadvantage for some player who could have tied in points with one of the contenders for qualification with his help... well, I don't think I need to explain this.
