Finally, I found the time and played this map in "hard" mode.
I played on "Heroes" difficulty, with my favorite faction – the Dark Elves.
What can I say? It's very annoying to have to replay so many times – I restarted the game about a hundred times to get two Dark Elves in the tavern after building it at the beginning of the game, and one of them had to be Letus (who poisons opponents at the beginning of the battle). Another essential condition for victory is that the Mage Guild in the Castle must provide the "Stone Skin" spell on the first level (otherwise, Letus will not be able to effectively fight undead, constructs, and elementals). And also, Letus should start developing not attack (there's not much point in attacking peasants), but knowledge (you can only win with the help of magic, and there should be a lot of it). Only when all these conditions are met can you successfully fight both living creatures and the undead. For battles, I mainly used hit-and-run tactics – at the beginning of the game, I often had to run away after inflicting as much damage as possible on the enemy.
After who knows how many attempts, I had a successful start and completed the map in 27 days; the last week consisted of Letus running around the map and poisoning all the inhabitants of the castles (I captured the last five castles in three days). By the way, in my castle, I built only the 3rd-level Mage Guild, a tavern, a scouting school, and a magistrate throughout the game.
I was also very lucky that a Dark Elf castle was located in the southwest corner; after capturing it, I made it a Capitol.
Therefore, as suggestions, I propose allowing the player to choose their preferred starting hero. I also want to say that it's unclear why there are so many treasures on the map – no one has time to capture and use them anyway.
