Yes. Slow. And in general, you can easily see all of this in the editor (Pandoria, quests, and events are essential and primary things to look at first). I'm surprised that many didn't notice the quest for 100 Archangels...

Mercury can be obtained by exchanging troops for resources at the end of the game; recruit troops during the game and protect them in battles...
