That was a long time ago; I haven't had the chance to play Necropolis in a while and made many mistakes. Also, I still haven't learned to determine if the guard can be bypassed — I thought the mages guarding the quest artifact could be avoided, but they are actually too "tough". The other exit required going through 20+ monks across rough terrain, and since there was no Haste anywhere, I had to break into the Griffin Conservatory for angels to block. By then, I couldn't afford to check the Treant Conservatory, and it turned out to be max-level, leading to a wipe.
