I think you should have used the Stasis spell right away. Because Armageddon dealt almost as much damage to you as it did to the enemy: you didn't even have Gargoyles for that, and Garuna's Rage ability reduced the damage by a third. The Rakshasas also fell to Armageddon, but they could have put up a fight against the Orcs...
