Arandor ran away from the angry mob towards the Western Gate, but someone pulled out a revolver and shot him in the back. Sanders approached the body. After examining Arandor's body, he indeed found no weapons on him. He removed the protective mask and confirmed that this was not a bandit, but one of the townspeople, albeit not the most prominent. The crowd, disappointed, dispersed to their own affairs.

Arandor, an innocent man, was executed. He falls silent.
