Баги "Might and Magic: Heroes VI"

When playing on hot seat, if the "computer" catches the player off guard and attacks first, it wins against you in auto-battle! (you simply find yourself in the tavern at the beginning of the next turn, without an army or artifacts).
Moreover, after the battle, the computer's army is completely intact, even though you were capable of putting up a decent fight. Does anyone know how to fix this?!
