Heroes of sword or magic?

Okay, if you don't like Solmyr, that's fine. Although it's incredibly easy for him to defeat neutral creatures, let's leave him out of it. But another mage hero has a tower skill (Saira) that specializes in speed. And, as far as I remember, she starts with Wisdom already at level 2. So, what's wrong with her?

Necromancy in Heroes of Might and Magic III isn't magic. It's equally effective for warriors and mages. You're talking about something irrelevant.

As far as I understand, you were referring to the spell "Raise Dead." Of course, a mage is better at using it, but this spell is simply a panacea in the early stages of the game.
