Firstly, the Mages are a separate point. I still believe that the Mages are closer to the Town than to the Mafia. Moreover, now the Mages can win together with the Town, if I understand correctly. Or is the Town not a group?
Secondly, you can see that these are weak probabilities. If the check results in a Mechanoid, then nothing can be said at all. If it's a person, then with a higher probability, they are Town. But we are more interested in belonging to the Mafia :)
