Hordes of skeletons quickly dwindle without raising the dead. But liches with a power field can kill most enemies without taking any losses.

Lord, don't embarrass yourself. Summoning 1000 skeletons in a month with unlimited necromancy is more than achievable. With Galtran or a hero specializing in necromancy, it's more than achievable.
