Did the graphics of Heroes 3 not deter you from wanting to play?

I personally don't care about the graphics, especially since I think this game is the best, but unfortunately, most of my friends refuse to play Heroes because of the graphics. But one of my friends used to play Heroes 3, but after Heroes 5 came out, he refuses to play Heroes 3, and he says that they are boring!
