You are now providing evidence to support what you have already said. When discussing "which magic is better," we stray from the point and start talking about "which magic I know how to use" or "which magic I use more often." Usefulness is irrelevant here... :) The concepts of "better" and "worse" only make sense when applied to the question "in what situation?"
Which magic is better – fire or water? Many would say that "fire" is better. But if the question is: Which magic is better in a battle against Conflux – fire or water? The answer would be "water."
Another example: in a battle against a legion of dendroids, the best magic is not "earth," but "fire." The Berserk spell permanently binds the enemy to one spot. After that, the legion is easily destroyed even by a single archer in "autobattle" mode (with a wagon, of course)... Start the "autobattle" and go to sleep. By morning, the job is done! :)
In general, I agree. Debates about which magic is better will not lead to a consensus. And as I said before, I expressed my opinion, which is based not on what I can and cannot use, but on what I believe is better and, accordingly, what I directly use in the game.
