Watched "First Squad." It's a Russian-Japanese animated film... You get the idea. The theme: The Great Patriotic War. It evokes a very strange feeling while watching; everything seems so familiar: our guys, the Nazis, scouts... And at the same time, it feels completely unfamiliar because you don't often see a war movie in the anime style. Overall, the film is quite emotionally powerful, and I like that, so I rate it positively. But I also understand those people who will be disgusted by it; this style (and the plot with paranormal elements) will probably seem like a perversion to staunch conservatives who love war movies.
