Why would an evil doctor suggest such a ridiculous truce between the psychos and the town?

Hmm, trying to defend himself? He explained on the same day that he couldn't be the Mafia, and that's what they're basing their arguments on. Although, to be honest, I don't really believe it either; I think he's just crazy. And even if he isn't Radonar, we'll have a solid candidate for the next day, unless we detect someone more dangerous from the group of evil doctors.
