In Russia, are mobile phones and other personal belongings confiscated when entering the exam room during the Unified State Exam (USE)?

It depends on the policy of the exam center. In the case of a more lenient policy, they might not check you and will simply ask you to turn off your phone, put it in your bag, and leave the bag near the entrance to the exam room. No one will search your pockets. In the opposite case, they might confiscate all prohibited devices at the entrance to the exam center. I'm sure there are many people who don't take their responsibilities too seriously.
