Yeah, the meaning is hard to grasp. And I spent so long looking for this story in a pile of random posts... I won't criticize it, because I don't really understand it (I can't criticize something I don't understand). For example:

Agler understood, I didn't understand. That's fine.
But this is what confused me:

70% of which were archers.

Is that an advantage? In my opinion, when more than half of an army consists of support units, it's a rather weak army.
