At least look at how thoroughly the Sanctuary faction is designed, because it's not that easy to come up with a new race.
Honestly, I don't share your enthusiasm.
“Inventing” a race with seven units is a matter of one day for some. I put "invent" in quotes because nothing new was invented – take a nag and draw it in the style of medieval Japan – it doesn't take much intelligence.
In general, I am VERY skeptical about the game because it is already clear that several serious steps backward have been taken.
For example, the developers abandoned the idea of alt-upgrades, which, on the contrary, should have been developed as much as possible, and returned to the fact that we again have 7 units per race and one upgrade for each. I'm sorry, but more than 10 years have passed – where is the progress? Even in Heroes 4, there were attempts to create alternative development branches.
I don't know what's going on with the skill wheel, but it seems they also abandoned it...
If so, then it's a HUGE mistake – the idea was brilliant, and a lot of work was put into it.
In addition, visually, I don't like how the windows in the game are designed, for example, the spellbook, the window for hiring creatures in the castle. What is this minimalism? This is fantasy! Look at how the spellbook was designed in Heroes 3 or 5!
In the fifth game, by the way, you could view cities "from the inside." It was done superbly! It deserves high praise. Here, I either haven't seen it yet, or it doesn't exist at all. Another big minus.
So, what are they trying to surprise us with??? The first game with new graphics?
