so you're actually from where I thought... you know, if your family and friends are in Zimbabwe, does that mean that's your homeland too?????

if both family and friends are there, then it's possible. but what would they do there? However, homeland doesn't necessarily mean permanent residence. Let the homeland be there, and permanent residence somewhere else.
