Playing MM is not comparable because the genre is completely different. The graphics might be on the HF2 engine, but if HF2 is all the computer can handle, the Gameplay will be significantly stretched out due to endless loading screens and the turn-based nature of the process :P. Anyway, now I'm just sitting here waiting for the license to reach our backwater.
And I also like this thing—that Messiah is more detailed than Half-Life 2, for example. For instance, when you pick up a box in Messiah, it doesn't just float in the air in front of you like in Half-Life (I mean the absence of hands holding it), but rather your hands are actually holding it. When you tilt the mouse down, you can see the body and legs, and even the armor changes depending on what you have on at the moment. The same goes for ladders and ropes; when you climb them, everything is like in real life—you can see the arms and legs—whereas Half-Life doesn't have that.
Overall, Messiah leaves a very pleasant impression.
