Vayshan, please, formulate the Special Theory of Relativity (STR) for me. What you are so zealously defending is only a consequence applicable to the objects that people usually deal with. And the STR itself speaks of something slightly different. And it is also a special case of the General Theory of Relativity (GTR), also formulated by Einstein, and containing quite interesting things.

The argument actually started not about the validity of the Theory of Relativity, but about the assumptions in science fiction, and I gave such a well-known example where something that is impossible according to modern theories is postulated as something commonplace, namely, travel at the speed of light or even faster, and for some reason this does not raise any questions from anyone, unlike some other examples of assumptions in science fiction.
