No, it's better to execute one suspicious person one day, and another the next, than not to execute anyone at all and let that same innocent person die at night. And who said that we won't execute the bad guy on the first try? Mafia always implies a certain risk; that doesn't mean we have the right to let days pass to the benefit of the mafia.
