If he was spying on the murderer, he would obviously learn the role of the person he was spying on. If he was spying on the victim, he should learn both the role and the nickname, I suppose.
OMG, but why? He's sending the GM the nickname of the person he's going to be watching! What difference does it make if he's watching the murderer or the victim?
