"if a person, NOT SEEING what is in the treasure zone, went in there with 16 grand elves — then he acted either absolutely STUPIDLY, or he probably did know what exactly he was going in there for. For example, by using maphack. "
When I told Forrest what was meant — about a person who DOES NOT KNOW (has not revealed that spot on the map) what is in the treasure zone, Forrest replies that "he thought it should be obvious to me that a strong player would not go into a treasure zone with such an army WITHOUT KNOWING what is there, i.e., without first uncovering the map." That is, Forrest HIMSELF indirectly agrees WITH MY OWN statement, when I said I meant a person who has not revealed the treasure zone and goes there with 16 elves! (And I simply understood that previous message as meaning the person supposedly did not know what was there, went in with elves, and then got such a lucky break.)
You are either a noob in Heroes or not very smart.
To find out what is in the treasure zone you don't need to reveal the map with maphack; you can simply break through the guard and send a scout there
Let me list you reasons to go into the treasure zone on week 1.
1) Treasure zones vary — if you have mass slows (for example) and 16 grand elves + 50 centaurs, 5 pegasi, and 3 dendroids, you can work wonders.
2) Kyrre at stables (or with boots) with a supply of movement manages everything and goes into the treasure zone so that later they can ferry the treasury to him on day 121, starting to gobble everything up without losing tempo. (while waiting for this, he can take some things even with such forces)
3) Simply having many heroes and, while waiting for growth, scouting everything personally if there are no issues with building.
Does this seem stupid to you? Then go play against computers and build Titans with a Capitol. IMHO.
