“Best Chronicle of 2009” Contest

Well, that’s it, everything is over. It's a little sad that it ended so quickly, and I feel bad that I messed things up myself and then had to deal with the consequences:o. Thank you to all participants (and Hermit, let me say this: Vova, I told you – you should have chosen one of the other reports I suggested:smile42:, IMHO – with that one, you would definitely have been competing for the top prizes, even though this one was excellent too:)!). Congratulations on your well-deserved high places, Dirty_Player and SpiriTT! I will try to sort out your prizes within February. I won't congratulate myself:) , I don't even know... I started thinking about organizing this "medal" or something like that during the voting process, but then I saw that there were already quite a few votes for me right away, which made me uncomfortable; it felt like I was practically asking someone to “give ME a medal”:D... So, this issue is kind of hanging in the air. Of course, huge thanks to everyone who voted in the poll (well, and what’s the point of hiding it – especially to those who voted for me:rolleyes: ...)! We tried hard for you, we are trying, and we will continue to try to write something more interesting, and I think next year we can even divide the competition into "Academic" and "Humor", because there are really too many good reports for just one contest per year, and having more than 10 makes it difficult to perceive and compare them, IMHO. And here's another thing: thank you to Vitaly vbn and Kostya Dirty_Player for the idea and the first competition, without which there probably wouldn't have been a second one... I suggest (if Kostya and Vitaly don't mind) adding their nicknames to the title of the competition in the future as honorary founders:) :smile14: (something like "The Best Chronicle Competition 201* (why be modest - 2***:) ) named after vbn & Dirty_Player"). I almost forgot to thank all the helpers and once again Kostya Dirty_Player, this time as co-organizer;). And Pit for LM, Gomunguls, Kash, Dubrovin Pavel helped me in the not easy task of "separating the wheat from the chaff" (if I didn’t mention someone – sorry, there were actually a lot of helpers:o).
