Should the starting hero for Necropolis be chosen randomly?

But I don't like TE with many of its new features, and I'm not going to switch to it.

I also switched from the full version to SOD. But TE-Lite with customizable settings is great. It's SOD with a user-friendly interface and settings from In the Wake of Gods. No wonder some players are upset with Vik for this. His version retained SOD, the settings, and doesn't force you to learn the full TE version.
Conclusion: I suggest trying TE-Lite.
