I think Inferno is an underrated faction. Any Demon hero, a welcome guest in Castle or Tower, and even in other factions, is quite good. And there are so many excellent melee units: Ifrits, Cerberuses, etc. The starting army is a bit weak, that's true. But once you get the Ifrits, you're unstoppable. I recently played with Psyche in a balanced game (we didn't finish it, by the way), and the Ifrits were devastating in close combat, and no one dared to touch the ranged units. ;)
So, Inferno will rise again!
