I read an astronomy textbook for 11th grade over the summer. To my great surprise, I found it in a bookstore and soon acquired it. It's quite interesting reading, but it's still a textbook. If you're not interested in astronomy as a science, it's better to choose something more accessible, as there are plenty of websites and magazines available now, and they should be easy to find through a search engine. Popular Mechanics, for example, but it covers more than just astronomy. By the way, Wikipedia doesn't always explain things using complex and incomprehensible math; you can find some useful information there too.
