I think the Demon start is worse than the Light Ones'.

Wing's "Attack" skill is valuable because it comes with the "Tactics" ability.

Kind of, but Attack is also needed because of the relatively decent damage that SEs don't have; if the "attack" stat were leveled instead of knowledge, it would be great). Mini-arts are worse for another reason too — if the Elf troops go first, all that's left behind is logs, and then the pride of the SEs, the bows with the druids, and your troops will be considerably thinned out.
