Heroes of Might & Magic III: Horn of the Abyss

The third game, the fifth... People are still playing the second one. So, graphics aren't the most important thing. Moreover, you can't convey the atmosphere of the game with graphics. Graphics can only enhance the first impression. After all, many people, chasing after beautiful visuals in a game, get bored and abandon it once they understand the gameplay, because there's nothing else behind that amazing graphics.

It's a different matter to implement the same gameplay in new graphics without changing anything else... Not only is it almost impossible, but not everyone will accept it. It still won't be the same. Many are used to what exists, and there will be more criticism than approval.
