I don't think going there and back is a clue, or how many clues are there in your opinion? There are only two at most.

a plane ticket to Pearl Harbor… (corner torn off), round trip, 4.LOTR 3:14; and on the back, a strange red cross disproportionately elongated to the right.

We need to think about what these numbers mean and, possibly, what the torn corner means? And, of course, consider Pearl Harbor.
