Why am I wrong? From my point of view, I am absolutely right!
And people who didn't know about the instrument...
It will be written there what the styles I mentioned are, but you won't agree, even though I know how they sound. But again, I want something simpler; I'm not against it...
It's one thing to be able to play like Isis, and another to play a different type of music. Is that simpler?
What if, for example, confectioners start cracking walnuts with angle grinders? Just because they can! It's virtuoso!
Or if some installers start using whipped cream instead of foam.
It's virtuoso :smile01:, but not in the right situation.
Now, prove to me that: post-punk, post-hardcore, post-industrial, post-rock, post-black, and post-metal are not more advanced than their origins!
Almost everything that people like is considered post-punk. But it's different music; it's not more advanced.
Post-industrial is also used to describe anything that comes along. Saying that one band is "more advanced" than another just because it has a couple of electric noises in its song (and gets the status of "industrial" for it) doesn't really make sense.
Post-black and post-metal are also described as something incredibly profound that came down from the heavens, but if you listen to it, it's not clear what they're talking about. It's different music, but "post" is just cooler and played much better. Logical :smile15:
In other words, those who say that bands with the "post" prefix are more skilled than those without it simply see skill in music as the ability to do complex things directly with a guitar or other instruments (less often). In my opinion, music is not just about being able to shred on a guitar with 20 fingers and your tongue at the same time. It's something more.
I'm not saying that all "post" music is bad because of this. There are good bands, there are bad bands, and there are terrible bands.
But it's not "more serious"; it's just different.
