Bethesda Softworks has announced a new game in the Fallout universe. Here's a brief overview of the game – Fallout: New Vegas. Interestingly, the development will be handled not by the creators of Fallout 3, but by Obsidian Entertainment. This studio is known not only for Knights of the Old Republic 2, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Alpha Protocol, but also for the fact that many of its employees worked on Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, and the Van Buren project. Details about the new RPG, other than the fact that it will not be a direct sequel to Fallout 3, are currently unknown. Fallout: New Vegas will be released on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 next year.
