You're checking it in a strange way. I just checked it on two angels, and it's exactly 5% for each unit of difference.
Hmm... Sorry for interrupting this interesting discussion in the thread titled "Gameplay tactics for Conflux," but I wanted to clarify that, according to my data, if the attacking unit's attack is higher than the defending unit's defense, the increase will be 5% (as in the case of two angels), and if the attacking unit's attack is lower than the defending unit's defense (which happens quite often when skeletons attack), the increase will be 2.5%. That's how it works. Of course, there are probably many additions, clarifications, and exceptions to this, but you can use these figures as a guideline, in my opinion.
