Sacred Haven of Debauchery

Sometimes, rude conductors force people to give up their seats (Muscovites are groaning now because they've forgotten what a conductor is). There's nothing you can do about it. Unless, of course, you put on your headphones and stare out the window with a deeply indifferent expression; the chance that someone will ask you to give up your seat is less.

Heh, that's exactly the point – people do ask. If I want to give up my seat, I'll do it anyway, without being asked. Besides, there's a difference between saying, "Young man, please give up your seat – I have heavy bags," and saying, "Why are you sitting there?! What do they teach you in your institutes?" In the second case, there's absolutely no desire to give up my seat.
We do have controllers, there aren't many of them, but they exist. Especially around 11 a.m., you might run into one.
