I haven't played the third game much, but it seems like the gold income is much higher there than in the fourth game. This is relevant to the question of "what to change?".
And again, gold alone won't solve everything. Where are you going to get the resources? 1 resource per day, or 2 wood/ore per day, but buildings require various gems, and the Guild with spells, unfortunately, doesn't cost as ridiculously cheap as in the fourth game. To put it bluntly, it costs a lot! :smile08: If you remember the approximate cost of building level 7 units in the third game (and to build them, you also need to spend money on a bunch of preliminary buildings!), then you get the following picture: if it's still somehow possible to scrape together 20-25 thousand gold, then no market will help you gather 20 units of "expensive" resource.
So maybe it's not that the fourth game has a cheap exchange rate, but that the third game has a very high one.
