ZYbr (Agrael, preserve) def Lu41k (Astral, order)
I've always feared this Heroine.. that's why I wanted to ban her.. but ZYbr plays well with everyone.. so I didn't know who to swap out to ban her.. so I left her in to my own detriment :)
And I paid for it..
My positioning wasn't quite right and the Phoenixes immediately reached the Hero, they didn't kill him but badly crippled him, the Mantises bound the Dragons, then I flailed around a bit but it was all in vain. Griffins arrived under Dragon Force, Phoenixes got Anti-Magic, they finished off my Hero, and there was no point in continuing the fight.. I got disheartened..
Agrael under ZYbr's command was flawless :)
Lu41k (Warduum, death) def ZYbr (Uwodd, azylum)
Out of frustration, I grabbed the first one who wouldn't die too quickly. I chose Warduum.
I positioned the Champions one by one and started applying Terror to everyone.. I was especially afraid of his Beholders..
The Skeletons immediately went on the attack and hit the Bone Dragons, I applied Touch of Death, which was successfully dispelled :)
I sent the Mummies and Zombies forward, while the Champions kept terrorizing, though one was covering the Hero. Warduum summoned 2 more Skeletons, they also joined the attack. Meanwhile, of the initial 5 Skeletons, only one remained, but the Bone Dragons also fell. Uwodd cast Shackles on my Hero, who successfully reflected them back. Things were getting more interesting :)
The surviving Skeleton hit the main Beholder stack, pushing them back as well.. Uwodd used some ability (I don't remember which one now..) and healed himself.. Warduum uses Call of Death and gets 2 more Dragons, Uwodd dies, then the two Champions rushed to help the others, one stayed to terrorize.. Evil Eyes were wiped out, Orcs also fell, the Efreet, thoroughly terrorized, took damage from everyone and died last..
I was glad I wouldn't at least lose without a fight.
I may have described something inaccurately or out of order, apologies..
ZYbr (Astral, order) lose Lu41k (Rion, life)
My opponent chose Astral, I decided a duel of Astral vs Rion should be interesting, and if I'm going to die, might as well go out with a bang, so I picked Rion.
I was very afraid of his Genies and Teleport.. So I split the Catapults into 2 stacks, my Ballistas ended up in front for some reason (that's the rush), Squires were also split.
Rion immediately cast Amulet of Order. The Dragon Golems ran forward, while ZYbr's other troops started blocking line of sight to my Catapults, Genies generously bestowed Joy on everyone. My slow units tightened up and weaved. The Catapults wounded Astral, while his troops closed in.. I sent the Dragons that had reached me back, far out of sight. I cast Guardian Angel on the Crusaders, shooting in the meantime.. Then the Evil Golems got close. The Genies cast Slow on the Crusaders and Rion. Hitting the Golems with Squires (called it "blocking the path basically" :D), I exposed my Hero, the Golems immediately Teleported to him, my Hero cast Angel on himself. Meanwhile, the Crusaders decided to listen to the Song of Peace.. And my machines finished off Astral, who had managed to dispel Rion's buffs. Rion casts Shield, the Dragons are already dead..
Then my opponent decided not to continue..
So basically, starting with a requiem, I ended with a victory. Though I didn't expect it after the first loss :)
Janik, thanks for the games! :)
