Planes bombing military bases near the capital – no matter how you look at it – are absolutely legitimate targets for the air defense of any country. And the Americans will push for a presence on Georgian territory with "independent" peacekeeping forces or NATO troops, and Georgian troops, fueled and supported by America, will move on Ossetia again – with new equipment, weapons, and experience.
