Regarding the tests, I haven't looked into them yet. My question is: Why is Nvidia reducing the price on it and similar video cards?

Marketing, marketing... not everyone is ready to pay a lot of money for top-end hardware and prefers something cheaper, even if it's not as good.

Doesn't ATI have a 3rd one? I think they do, I even saw it in a 4th configuration...

Or does it? There definitely isn't one in the x4 series.
