Which level 5 monster is the best?

Gorgons! A gorgon's gaze is deadly to level 7 creatures. Minotaurs are almost always defeated; dendrites are very slow. Liches and monks don't have sufficient growth stats to be effective ranged attackers. The master djinn has weak defense, but the birds are very good.
