If Anakin says something, it doesn't necessarily mean he's acting like a Jedi, IMO.

He said this when he was still a Padawan, like a monkey repeating the dogma that the Jedi had been drilling into his head for 10 years. Or do you think the Jedi believed one thing, but were pushing something else on Anakin? Then it's clear why things ended the way they did...
