Neutrals, who are they?

Phoenixes are good for respawning and high initiative, Death Knights are good for eliminating a large number of enemy units, and Mummies are good for their ability to resurrect. As for Yetis, I think they were added to the poll unnecessarily – they are not documented anywhere and were removed from the game (although they remained in the resource files) in patch 2.1.
