Which creatures from the alternative upgrade options do you choose?

The whole problem is that you not only need to reach this level (which is unlikely to happen by the first turn), but also manage not to lose it under enemy attacks and chaotic magic. And you need to attack with both types of units when the retaliation is already removed, or when they have killed most of your stack.
