In general, I managed to take down Mephana by a miracle; the battle probably lasted an hour and a half.

It happened. An amazing spiral exit along one road from the Castle, a wood mine at 121 — cavalry was useless until the end of the game :). I found my own secondary site, gathered a huge army for the second week to rush, and messed up with the passage through the secondary site — it wasn't there. Until the end of the second week, we were even in development; after that, the opponent's higher class told, and he steadily began to outplay me. Having discovered the Dragon Utopia on the second week and seeing the opponent flickering nearby on the third, I decided to use one last chance — to catch him near the Dragon Utopia. For this, I took the second Dragon Utopia and brazenly stood on the acceleration, having the air book. Finally, spotting the tip of a horse's snout — DD, flight, I don't take the shield+6, Pandora's box — everything is on the way, I finally catch him suddenly. But then in the battle, my own lack of experience plus the Maestro class equaled a missed opportunity to seize the initiative and led to my defeat.
Glad that I made the opponent nervous for a bit :)
