I don't fully agree with that, of course, he's better without armor and weapons, but when he has the Royal Pain in his hands, he hits hard and attacks three enemies at once. Secondly, armor suits him, but not all of it, only cloth armor. I remember that for my level 40 monk, I ran around and begged players of lower levels for these leather items (+39% resistance and +20 to all stats), it was a rare item, but I still got it.
As for cheating in the game, I hacked both the first and the second one. In the first one, I hacked it so that you could reach level 49 in about 20-30 minutes, i.e., you gained 255 experience, leveled up again, gained another 255, and so on until level 49 :) In D2 LoD, I made it so that you could buy (depending on the type of hack) either set, unique, or crafted items in the store. With the set hack, the Sigon's set could be assembled at level 16-18 by simply buying it in the store :)
