Well, we're playing on a random map, either very large or large, with a Dungeon, so the game becomes long, and it's easy to build a Guild! And libraries are also not uncommon there, so the archers are saved=(
In the game you described, Necropolis can definitely have several secondary settlements. Liches increase in number by 15 at a time, and vampires (considering necromancy) by 40-50 per week. The archers will simply be shot down; there will be no one to save from magic. And Vampirism and Heavenly Shield are used on the vampires. Game Over. You can't play defensively with Necropolis, even though its troops aren't the best, it turns almost any secondary settlement into its own. After just 2 months (excluding the brutal guards everywhere and the prolonged exit from the starting area), almost any castle is doomed, and it only gets worse from there. If you've decided to just wander around an XL map for 3 months, then gather resources and have a final showdown, then Necropolis is definitely out. Or are you playing XL with only 2 castles?
And it's very difficult to play against Elves in a rush.
Elves don't have Engineers and have a 2% chance of getting them, so they rush very well. A Ballista can eliminate all of Ossira's Elves in one turn, at most two. And I didn't bring up the "Old Friends" map for no reason. There's a very high chance of encountering Kaspar, around level 15, with 30 vampires on week 2, who will kill Ossira without any losses.
