The "The Best of The Best 2007" tournament in numbers.
1. Number of applicants: 43 (there were 68 for WB-1)
2. Number of participants: 15 (the worst result of all full-fledged official tournaments of the year on the portal for the 3-player format; only 2 stages of the Blitz and the Race for the Leader had fewer participants; there were 26 for WB-1)
3. Number of participants who had previously won tournaments on the portal this year in the 3-player format: 2 out of 5 (3 out of 8, including non-rated tournaments and Blitz stages)

Question to the organizers: is this how you envisioned this tournament?
If not, then I will continue the conversation that I started in private back in December.
Why give such a huge and extremely tedious map for a tournament that was presented as the main one of the year, and also set the most inconvenient dates for the majority of the player base throughout the year – exam session, New Year, exams? How many people didn't play because of this, and how many didn't even register?
Even a not-so-thorough playthrough of this map takes a lot of time. And when, after about an hour of scouting, I realized how long it would take to complete the map (so I wasn't particularly surprised by Dmitry's result, because I don't doubt his skill) and how much time and effort it would take, I realized that this tournament would take place without me. And that's a pity, perhaps not just for me.

P.S. Congratulations to Dmitry AS on his victory and excellent result. But I would like to ask: where is Gandalf???
